From Author’s Website:

I didn’t have parents who were capable of loving me. My biological father was an alcoholic and a drug addict, and when I was two years old, he decided to leave my mother. This caused her to flee to Las Vegas and abandon my two older sisters and me, leaving us with my father and his new girlfriend (who would soon become his wife). I only saw my mother briefly two different times during the next five years. My dad and his new wife were deep into their addictions, so I endured a life of neglect and a lack of love. My two older sisters assumed the majority of my care, but they were not equipped to care for me as they were children themselves. They have told me that they were haunted by my being alone in my crib, wailing for human contact that first year. This set the stage for me in terms of learning that my needs were not important and that I was not worthy of love or care.

Read on to find out the story behind the book and a short extract that I hope you enjoy.
A few readers also share their feedback with you!!

If I were to sum up the overall message of the book in a few sentences, it is that all life experiences, especially the difficult ones, are here to help us grow into the fullest version of ourselves. As difficult as it can be at times, life really is unfolding for our highest good.

My experience with breast cancer taught me this. It has been a journey marked by many ups and downs but I wouldn’t change a moment of it. Although life still has its challenges, I have never felt a greater sense of meaning and purpose. It has awoken me to my true nature and brought me to a place of deep, inner contentment that is beyond compare.

I hope that by sharing my story, it will prompt you to embark on your own journey of growth and expansion. I hope it will help you reframe difficult experiences and provide you with more supportive and empowering ways of relating to life. Ultimately, I hope you discover your inner power, speak your truth and shine brightly as the highest version of yourself.

In the book I take you on my personal journey – from getting the life-changing news that I had cancer, to surrendering to it and ultimately choosing a path of transformation. It taught me that despite the inevitable pain that comes with growth, life really is happening for us, not to us.

When we shift to this perspective, we have a totally different experience of life, we see through our conditioning and limiting beliefs. We become stronger and more anchored in our inner power. We no longer live as victims. Instead we realize that we are powerful creators of our reality.

Then there is no stopping us! That is my wish for you.

From Guest’s Website:

Membership in this group is a parent’s worst nightmare and it’s a lifetime membership. I understand grief and despair. After my son crossed over, I found myself unable to relate to my old life so I retired, sold my house and all my things and traveled the world for two and a half years. Along the way, travel turned into pilgrimage. I found a spiritual path with the Four Winds Society. The teachings and practices of Modern Shamanism were a catalyst for healing and change in my own life that I want to share. I teach, I write, and I lead retreats.

But most of all, I Love.

You don’t have to lose a child to suffer. Our lives are periodically or perpetually filled with pain and suffering from abandonment, abuse, betrayal, and feeling separated from Spirit or God. I use the teachings and practices of the Medicine Wheel as the fuel to ignite suffering and transform it into Vision so that you can live life with ease and grace.

From the Publisher’s Website:

How is Reiki practice like a snow globe, a palm tree, and an anchor?

As we navigate life’s unpredictable squalls and waves of adversity, we aspire to settle like the snow in a snow globe, feel rooted like the base of a palm tree in a storm, and be anchored like a steady ship.

Reiki: A Self Practice to Live in Peace with Self and Others provides readers with self-Reiki how-tos for putting these metaphors into action to build an inner mind-body unshakable foundation, and to relieve the suffering of others. This book opens a door to a mindful way of living with ease rather than struggle.

Whether it is fear of coronavirus, receiving texts in ALL CAPS, a frightening diagnosis, or worry over a child, the self-Reiki practices introduced here will alleviate pain and overwhelm, ushering in mindfulness, resilience, and recovery capacity.
